Floor Lamps
Floor lamps can bring either a subtle accent light to a room or serve even as the primary light source depending on your configuration and other lighting fixtures you're using. A torchiere floor lamp, for example, is a floor lamp that directs a large amount of light upward, whereas a more traditional floor lamp will generally provide a balance of light both upward and downward. Many floor lamps have adjustable brightness and they generally range from four and a half to six and a half feet tall.
Table Lamps
Table lamps are not just for tables. Basically, any place where you'd like the style and advantages of a floor lamp, but need your light fixture to be shorter to work with the furniture of a room, a table lamps, or one of its varieties, is what you need.
Desk Lamps
Generally more task-oriented, desk lamps provide a more broad light source that can flood a nearby surface with ample, even lighting to reduce eye strain. Desk lamps range from antique, to functional, to modern all with the ability to bring a strong presence and compliment the layout of a study or den.
Piano Lamps
Built with a specific task in mind, piano lamps are the best choice for their use by far, but offer more options than you might first imagine. For instance, some piano lamps are designed to be placed on the floor next to the piano with long arms to provide light over the piano, or pushed away when not in use. Others are highly functional and also serve to hold sheet music.
Tiffany Lamps
Tiffany lamps can come in almost any of the options listed above, but all share a common style and construction. Tiffany lamps are characterized by the distinct stained-glass work that is used to make up the lamp shade. This combines the style of an antique lamp with the functionality of modern lamp technology. Quoizel, Kichler, and Meyda Tiffany are some of the most well known brands for Tiffany lamps, and Hansen Lighting carries them all.
